The second leg of Ska is Dead IV is over but what a success! Over the course of 18 shows we sold over 6,300 tickets! And had a great show every night. Shout outs to all the bands on the tour: The Toasters, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Mustard Plug and Deal's Gone Bad. You guys rocked! Many thanks go out to all the local/regional band that played every night. You guys busted your ass on stage and off. Most of all thanks to all the fans who came to shows. You keep it all alive!

The first installment of the Ska Is Dead IV tour was a huge success! The tour hit 17 cities across the American West, and sold nearly 6000 tickets in the process! Look for the second leg to hit the rest of the U.S. and Eastern Canada in the fall of 2009.

Ska Is Dead IV is out on the road and gaining enthusiastic reviews. The first 4 shows averaged over 500 people in paid attendance. This, happening in the middle of a catastrophic economic recession is proving to the music industry and the world in general what we knew all along: Ska Is NOT Dead! In fact it is thriving! Props to all the fans who are coming out to support the tour!
Our apologies to the fans in Grand Junction. The show had to be cancelled due to hazardous road conditions in the Rockies.

Ska is Dead 4 will kick off Jan. 22 in Albuquerque NM and play cities across the Western U.S. Voodoo Glowskulls and The Toasters will be headlining all the dates. Mustard Plug and Buck O Nine will also be playing select dates. Many more bands and cities will be announced soon. Check out the tour dates.

Ska Is Dead is sponsoring two big East Coast Ska Festivals this fall. “Skanksgiving�? will take place in Foxborough MA and Sayreville NJ and feature one of the strongest lineups seen in quite some time. Saturday November 15, 2008 @ Showcase Live! In Foxborough features The Pietasters, The Toasters, Mustard Plug, Westbound Train, Bomb The Music Industry, plus more. Sunday November 16, at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ features The Piestasters, Big D and The Kids Table, Mustard Plug, The Toasters, Bomb The Music Industry, Flatfoot 56 plus more TBA. Both events are on sale at Ticketmaster.com (under “Ska Is Dead�?).

This July, Ska Is Dead is co-releasing a compilation CD of 23 of the best bands currently performing today. This promises to be the best Ska compilation CD in years and features many as yet unreleased and hard to find tracks.
